Tesla’s Optimus could turn home robots into a supply-chain race

For a future home humanoid, the race may be won long before the robot reaches the front door. The real advantage may come from chips, hands, actuators, factories, suppliers, software, and the ability to build useful robots at scale.

This Yahoo Finance article, syndicated from Benzinga, looks at a Counterpoint Research report on Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot program. The report says Tesla could use its electric vehicle experience, supplier network, AI5 platform, Full Self-Driving technology, and Grok AI to accelerate Optimus production.

For Humanoid Home News readers, the home robot angle is that affordability and availability may matter as much as intelligence. A capable humanoid will not become a household product until companies can manufacture it reliably, reduce costs, support repairs, and build enough units for real-world deployment beyond demos and factories.
