Humanoid robot shipments are moving from small demonstrations toward measurable market scale.

Counterpoint Research says global humanoid robot shipments topped 22,000 units in the first half of 2026, rising nearly 300% year over year. The firm projects full-year 2026 shipments will exceed 50,000 units.

The report also shows a concentrated market. Counterpoint says AGIBOT ranked first with about 9,700 shipments, followed by Unitree with more than 7,000. The top five vendors together accounted for 86% of total shipments.

The home angle is still indirect. Counterpoint says entertainment and performance, data production, and research still accounted for more than 60% of shipments. But service and guidance, intelligent manufacturing, and warehousing and logistics are gaining share.

That matters for future home buyers because early shipment growth does not necessarily mean home readiness. A robot can be shipped for entertainment, research, training data, industrial testing or service pilots without being ready to clean a kitchen, support an older adult or operate safely around a family.

The takeaway for Humanoid Home News readers: Counterpoint’s shipment data suggests humanoid robotics is scaling quickly, but most growth is still outside the home. The next question is whether rising shipments lead to safer, more capable, better-supported robots that can eventually handle real household tasks.
