The top of the Humanoid Home News Leader Board did not move in September 2026. The bottom half did.
Optimus GEN3 from Tesla remains No. 1 in the Humanoid Home News Top 10 Humanoid Robots for the Home (USA), followed by Figure 03 from Figure AI at No. 2, Memo from Sunday at No. 3 and the NEO Home Robot from 1X Technologies at No. 4.
But three new names entered the Top 10 this month: Model not announced from OpenAI at No. 5, Koko from Homebot One at No. 9 and Nori A3 from Nori Robotics at No. 10.
Their arrival pushed Sprout from Fauna Robotics (Amazon) and two UBTECH robots out of the Top 10.

The full Humanoid Home News Leader Board currently tracks 28 humanoids and closely related home robots.
OpenAI enters at No. 5 without a named robot
The most unusual addition is OpenAI.
OpenAI moves directly into the September ranking at No. 5 even though it has not announced a model name.
That placement illustrates an important distinction in the Humanoid Home News Leader Board. This is not a ranking based simply on how many robots are shipping today.
Humanoid Home News considers home-market relevance, product maturity, commercial availability, company credibility, likely household use cases and the potential to help humans in the home.
The ranking is also intended to look forward at which companies and robots could ultimately matter most in the U.S. home market.
That allows an emerging effort such as OpenAI’s humanoid robotics plans to be considered alongside companies already demonstrating physical robots.
Koko moves into the Top 10
Koko from Homebot One enters at No. 9.
Koko’s arrival adds another company explicitly targeting the home to a ranking increasingly focused on whether humanoid and humanoid-like robots can move beyond demonstrations and industrial environments into practical household use.
For Humanoid Home News, that distinction matters.
The central question is not simply whether a robot can walk, manipulate objects or perform an impressive demonstration. It is whether the robot can eventually provide meaningful assistance to people where they live.
Nori A3 takes the No. 10 position
Nori A3 from Nori Robotics enters the ranking at No. 10, giving the September Top 10 its third new entrant.
Together, OpenAI, Homebot One and Nori Robotics replace three robots that appeared in the August Top 10.
Sprout and two UBTECH robots move below the Top 10
Sprout from Fauna Robotics (Amazon), which ranked No. 5 in August, moves to No. 11 in September.
Two UBTECH robots also move below the cutoff.
The UWORLD U1 PRO falls from No. 9 to No. 12, while the UWORLD U1 Ultra moves from No. 10 to No. 13.
They remain on the broader Humanoid Home News Leader Board and continue to be robots worth watching.
The changes mean the September Top 10 has substantial turnover without disturbing its leaders.
The top four remain unchanged
The stability at the top may be as important as the newcomers.
Tesla, Figure AI, Sunday and 1X Technologies retain the first four positions.
ENO from Genesis AI remains No. 6, HMND 01 from Humanoid remains No. 7 and Isaac 1 from Weave Robotics remains No. 8.
So while three of the 10 positions changed occupants, seven remained with the same companies and robots.
That combination of stability and movement reflects how quickly the home-humanoid category is developing.
A company can remain a serious contender while moving several places as new robots, companies, demonstrations and home-market plans emerge.
What Humanoid Home News is watching next
The bigger question is what will cause the next major reshuffling.
Humanoid Home News will continue watching for evidence that companies are moving closer to actual household deployment, including credible pricing, release dates, pilot programs, early-access programs, leasing or subscription models, and demonstrations involving useful work inside real homes.
We are particularly interested in robots designed to help with housekeeping, meal preparation, elder care, aging in place, home safety, family support and everyday household tasks.
The September ranking is therefore a snapshot, not a prediction carved in stone.
In a market developing this quickly, October could look different again.
