Samsung Electronics is putting humanoid robotics closer to the center of its business strategy.

Reuters reports that Samsung will create an RX, or Robotics eXperience, division reporting directly to the chief executive to accelerate robotics development and commercialization.

The move gives Samsung’s robotics work a clearer internal home. Reuters reports that the new division will oversee mid-to-long-term robotics strategy, core technology development and business execution, while expanding research capabilities in South Korea and overseas.

The home angle is future-facing but explicit. Samsung said it plans to develop humanoid robots first for deployment at manufacturing sites before expanding into home and retail sectors.

That matters for future home buyers because Samsung already has scale in consumer electronics, home appliances, chips, batteries, displays, AI-enabled devices and global service channels. If the company eventually brings humanoids into homes, it may have advantages that smaller robotics startups do not.

The takeaway for Humanoid Home News readers: Samsung’s new robotics division is not a home-robot launch, but it is a serious organizational signal. The company is moving humanoid robotics from scattered research toward commercialization, with home and retail expansion named as part of the longer-term path.
