For a humanoid designed to help older adults at home, the hardest test is not whether it can walk across a stage. It is whether it can assist safely, respond naturally, and support dignity during the most personal moments of daily life.
ZuoWei Technology says it has unveiled two humanoid care robots, Tianshu and Tianji, at its “Intelligent Care Beyond Boundaries” global launch in Guilin, China. The company frames the announcement as a move from proof-of-concept toward real-world deployment of embodied AI in elderly care.
The care model is built around two coordinated robots. Tianshu serves as the intelligent decision-making hub, while Tianji focuses on bedside assistance and daily interaction. Together, the robots are designed to support device coordination, physical assistance, emotional companionship, and 24/7 safety monitoring.
The home-care angle is strong. ZuoWei says the system can support bathing, toileting, mobility assistance, feeding, pressure injury prevention, and cognitive engagement. Those are exactly the kinds of high-need, high-sensitivity tasks that will determine whether humanoid robots can become useful in aging support, family care, and long-term home care.
The company says it has spent seven years building an intelligent care ecosystem with more than 30 products, more than 300 patents, and operations across more than 50 countries. It also says its products are supported by certifications including FDA, CE, and UKCA.
The takeaway for Humanoid Home News readers: ZUOWEI’s announcement is one of the clearer examples of humanoid robotics being aimed directly at aging support. The opportunity is large, but the bar is high. Robots in eldercare must be safe, trustworthy, practical, and respectful. If ZUOWEI can prove that in real homes and care settings, this category could become one of the most important paths for humanoids in the home.
